Alright, assuming we are going to use the news feature, this is what I've
tried so far with it..

I've created 4 language categories, in which we can create language specific
news categories or topics, like in the example below:

ubuntu-be_EN
   General
   Press
   Events
   ...
ubuntu-be_NL
   Algemeen
   Persberichten
   Evenementen
   ...
ubuntu-be_FR
   Général
   Presse
   ...
ubuntu-be_DE
   Allgemein
   ...

Using it this way we can have either one news page displaying all topics or
multiple pages per topic. It's also easy to filter out the language specific
items by selecting the topic language and "Show child categories" on the
news admin page.
