[Ubuntu-BD] Opening word file with bangla text into ubuntu open office word

Recently I am using Ubuntu 9.10 and enjoying it good. when I open my bangla text files in Open Office.writer, they are not converted into bangla fonts. SCIM inputs are all okay as I can write Bangla well. Only old bangla files r not opening. Plz help on what to do and how. Thanks.
