I don't know nothing about OVI mail not delivering mail to gmail or gmail in
a clash with nokia's OVI mail service.
So there is nothing to worry about using OVI mail as I know.

When you have all the services through web as you get on your PC then what
is the need to develop an extra application? Moreover the freelancer's and
opensource programmers are mainly focusing on the urgent needs. So when the
needs can be fullfiled with a handsome way then it is better to focus on
other essentials.

Moreover you can run your existing OVI Suite on Linux through wine. Try it.
