I guess either "Ubuntu Software center" or "Synaptic Package manager" was
opened at that time. If simultaneously either of those programs are running,
then there will be a conflict during installing softwares. At a time you
must use one of them. To resolve that Close all programs, then open the
terminal and do the things again.
