Well I have used NetBeans on at least in three offices. On my laptop. On
home PC (on several installs). Never experienced those extreme problems.
Currently I use on Mac OS X and this one crashes or freezes a little more.

I would suggest to contact with Anis bro or Emran bro from
RightBrainSolution as they constantly use Netbeans on Mint.
