Ubuntu basically a kind of Software what runs the hardwares. If the Hardware
fails to perform correctly or have any kind of problem with it, very
logically the software may not work properly. I guess while the partition
manager is trying to analyse the HDD, the HDD in not performing that well.
The matter is like you may be a top class driver and have the finest fuel in
the world, but you cannot race with those with a car that have a broken
engine.
So, my dear friend, we can advise you a bunch if tips but we cannot give any
guarantee that those tips will work. Rather, it is very possible that those
may injure you HDD more than solve the problem.
If you have a HDD problem, why not you talk with Shahi bhai in this matter?
