[Ubuntu-BD] Problem with Screen resolution on KDE 4.4.4

Hello,

KDE 4.4.4 is driving Dhrubo's (My 7 years old brother) computer which
has on board graphics accelerator of Intel and the mainboard is DG41RQ.

Problem is, The screen resolution gets back to 1024*768 every time I
boot into the PC. I had to manually set it to 1280*1024. Is there any
solution?

Strangely, there's no xorg.conf on /etc/X11/ rather it contains
xorg.conf.d!

The OS is Kubuntu 10.04 for any inconvenience.
