Learned the hard way.....

I also used to get annoyed easily then the time came when I had to fix
something on my blog (I'm noober than noob in web development) to me the
problem was really important while for the knowledgeable person it was like
abc of web development.... he asked me to find out myself and I managed to
screw things more....
that's another story...

*now-a-days I don't get annoyed when people ask about problems that they
could solve themselves...*


However I do get annoyed when they ask in a silly way.. like providing
inadequate  information. silly headings, begging for argent solution etc...

I have really slow internet connection, in this shitty line

a) it takes 5 mins to load gmail,

b) another 1-2 minutes to load individual mail

b-1) if I get some error I have to restart again from a) .....

c) after all this hassle when I finally be able to load an email after 5-7
mins I really look forward to interesting situation and nicely constructed
question...

d) if the email is not nicely constructed  I have to ask for additional
information and wait 1-2min to send the mail,
d-1) if I get some error I have to initiate step d) again.....

e) repeat stage a to c.

If you are already annoyed by this email how I'm describing my situation
then you should also consider how it is for me to be in such position....

(Yes I'm trying to switch my isp and will be doing so in few weeks (need to
get approval from my parents who pays the internet bill)

till then if I behave rudely then I beg pardon beforehand for my
rudeness..... but at the same time I encourage people to help the solution
provider by providing additional information of your problem... like
i) what you are trying to achieve,
ii) what method you tried,
iii) what error you received,
iv) did you try googling the solution (if yes what result did you get)
v) last point be patient.

even today in this mailing list I found two problem that are poorly
constructed,

1) first they wanted to know "how to do stuff" (did not say whether they
have searched to solution or tried themselves),
2) when people answered with the solution they said "I tried that already
did not work" (did not say what went wrong)
3) then we have to ask again "what kind of problem they are facing"

here you can clearly see we have to go through three unnecessary stages that
could have been avoided by smartly constructed questions.....

think about it.. consider it...... practice it.....

The purpose of Tanjir bhai's article was to give some advice, not to provide
some "have to follow rules" still they are important, understand them, think
about them,  consider them, practice them.........


you will see that you can get your problem sorted quickly by following those
advice.....
