Ubuntu Bangladesh organised a release party today celebrating the
release of Karmic Koala at IBAIS University in Dhanmondi, Dhaka.

The program started at 3 PM and continued till 7 PM. Lenin bhai was
the main speaker of the event, who started by talking about the
features of Ubuntu and what it is capable of. Unlike our earlier
release parties, today's program was less formal and concentrated on
getting user feedbacks. The participants introduced themselves and
shared their user experiences, talked about what they like about
Ubuntu and what more they expect. They also asked various questions,
mostly related to problems they are facing.

Jamil bhai of Ankur talked a bit about Bangla localisation efforts and
issues related to it.

Shabab bhai later gave a lecture on various issues relating to Ubuntu
and OSS. He also talked about various resources that are available
for learning Linux and how to get help when needed.

Ubuntu 9.10 and Ubuntu Ultimate Edition desktops were displayed to the
audience, and copies of Ubuntu were distributed.

A group of volunteers from CSE department of IBAIS University worked
very hard to make this event a success, and we're extremely thankful
to them.

On behalf of the team,
Russell
