[Ubuntu-BD] X server corrupted

Once you reconfigured your x-server, can you go and manually check if you have vesa as your default video controller in /etc/X11/xorg.conf file? If no, then make it vesa and also if possible can you post your xorg.conf file? Also few questionnaires:
1. Did you have your desktop effect turned on?
2. Are you using compiz/beryl?
3. Is your graphics card ATI or NVidia? Are you using proprietary driver for it?
