[ Ubuntu-BD ] desktop effect

I'll suggest you to not use binary executable, if you don't know, what you
are doing.

Go to terminal. Type,

*sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx-new
sudo nvidia-xconfig**
sudo nvidia-xconfig --twinview --enable-all-gpus*
[/code]

If it cant enable the driver, then, restart your PC.
When you get to the GRUB menu, select the option to boot into Ubuntu
in *recovery mode*.
You will eventually get to a menu where you can choose to drop into a
root shell.
Once you're at the root shell prompt, enable the nVidia driver:

*sudo nvidia-xconfig --twinview --enable-all-gpus*
[/code]




If you have a GeForce4 or older video card, you may need to use
nvidia-glx instead of nvidia-glx-new.
I am not sure MX is newer then 4 or not. I think, newer.
