Hi
This method always worked for me, Hope it will work for you too
Copy this two files in the archive
sudo cp grameen.chatscript /etc/chatscripts/grameen
sudo cp grameen.peer /etc/ppp/peers/grameen

then in a terminal window type to start the connection
sudo pon grameen

to stop the connection
sudo poff -a

to see the status of the connection
plog

This should connect you to the Internet, you might need to change the modem
devices location from the grameen.peer file

I guess I can't attach a file :S so I'll paste the scripts here,
# GRAMEEN.PEER
#############################################
# This optionfile was generated by pppconfig 2.3.15.
#
#
hide-password
noauth
connect "/usr/sbin/chat -v -f /etc/chatscripts/Grameen"
debug
/dev/ttyACM0

defaultroute
noipdefault
user "grameen"
remotename Grameen
ipparam Grameen

usepeerdns
