Public bug reported:

Please backport postgrey 1.36-5 (universe) from cosmic to trusty,
xenial.

Reason for the backport:
========================
The newer Postgrey has updated default whitelists, process name changes, user-settable
socket permissions, and improved support for IPv4 and IPv6 CIDR ranges.

These additional features also come with a number of fixes in the Debian
package itself, all of which are useful to include as well.

Testing:
========
Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s cosmic -d trusty postgrey
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s cosmic -d xenial postgrey

Backports were done with the Cosmic package which is identical to Bionic's package version in:
https://launchpad.net/~teward/+archive/ubuntu/postgrey-backports

Installation tests and runtime tests were completed in a live production
Trusty server and within a Xenial LXD container.

* trusty:
[X] Package builds without modification
[X] postgrey installs cleanly and runs
* xenial:
[X] Package builds without modification
[X] postgrey installs cleanly and runs

No reverse dependencies
