Public bug reported:
Please backport cgroup-lite 1.11 (universe) from xenial to trusty.
Reason for the backport:
========================
We need cgroup-lite to mount name=systemd for us if we want a clean
backport of LXC 2.0 to work on trusty.
It only saw two uploads since trusty:
- 1.9: systemd-only change won't affect trusty
- 1.10: Mount the name=systemd cgroup, which is the bit we need
We've had this in the upstream stable PPA for a couple of months now
without any side effects.
Testing:
========
Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.
You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s xenial -d trusty cgroup-lite
* trusty:
[x] Package builds without modification
[x] cgroup-lite installs cleanly and runs
Reverse dependencies:
=====================
The following reverse-dependencies need to be tested against the new version of cgroup-lite. For reverse-build-dependencies (-Indep), please test that the package still builds against the new cgroup-lite. For reverse-dependencies, please test that the version of the package currently in the release still works with the new cgroup-lite installed. Reverse- Recommends, Suggests, and Enhances don't need to be tested, and are listed for completeness-sake.
cgroup-lite
-----------
* docker.io
[x] trusty (Reverse-Recommends)
* cgroup-bin
[x] trusty (Reverse-Depends)
* libvirt-bin
[x] trusty (Reverse-Depends)
