+ OwnCloud 8.1 was released on July 7th 2015. This version prevents owncloud-client from syncing files if the version of the client is below 1.7. This restriction can be manually disabled, but that might not be feasible for every OwnCloud installation.
+ Without this backport the essential functionality of owncloud-client is lost for all Ubuntu release before wily when the server has been upgraded to the most recent stable release.
