Built and tested latest version from upstream:

Successful test of /usr/local/sbin/openvpn to connect to my OpenVPN
server ...

I'm new to this whole backport request stuff and burned a lot of time
setting up a PGP key and then trying to figure out from where
backportpackage was conjuring its incorrect email address for me.
