Public bug reported:

Please backport cgminer 3.11.0-1 (universe) from trusty to saucy.

Reason for the backport:
========================
Installing cgminer package as provided by Ubuntu Saucy Salamander repos will replace my libglx.so with the nvidia version. Since my laptop uses Intel graphcs, I can no longer start a GNOME session.

The problem has been reported and fixed months ago (bug 1252021 on
launchpad), and consists simply of not installing nvidia packages with
cgminer, at least on hardware that does not work with the nvidia GLX
drivers.

That bug prevented my laptop from starting a GNOME session, which means
I could only log into text consoles. Logging in from lightdm turned the
screen back, only a mouse cursor appeared, and after a long time where
GNOME apparently tried to start (and ultimately failed), it went back to
the login screen.

Testing:
========
Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s trusty -d saucy cgminer

* saucy:
[X] Package builds without modification
[ ] cgminer installs cleanly and runs

No reverse dependencies

** Affects: saucy-backports
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
