Please backport jq 1.4-2.1 (universe) from utopic to trusty.

Reason for the backport:

JQ 1.4 includes many useful new features, most notably recursive merging of JSON documents

Testing:

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s utopic -d trusty jq
