Oh, I see that a comment about the problem resolved would be helpful.

Aside from running latest and greatest, this version (actually, 1.7.0
would probably be enough, but 1.9.0 is the first fixed version in an
ubuntu release) fixes major performance issues.

On 1.4, we're seeing lost packets whenever host load goes high, causing
production issues.  This problem is gone in 1.9.0.
