[Bug 1176882] Re: please backport gcc-4.7 in Precise

Hello,
there seem to be already many ppa's supplying a backport of gcc-4.7 from
quantal to precise, e.g., ppa:george-edison55/gcc4.7-precise. Can we
reuse this work or should it be done from scratch?
Can somebody please inform me on what the next step in the backporting
process should be? As I see it, we have a backport of gcc-4.7, so it
should no "only" be added to the backports?
Kind regards,
Thomas
