Hello,

It seems that Matthias Klose already has done a backport of gcc-4.7 for precise:

Can we re-use is packages for the backporting?

There is not that many information around on backporting, or I am unable
to find it, so I am a little bit lost on how to appriach this. Should I
rebackport it myself for different platforms? What is the next step to
get this into the backports?
