Public bug reported:

Please backport openvswitch 1.9.0-0ubuntu1 (main) from raring to
precise, quantal.

Reason for the backport:
========================
Version 1.9.x is the new LTS release of openvswitch. It would be great if this were available in the Ubuntu LTS release.

Testing:
========
Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s raring -d precise openvswitch
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s raring -d quantal openvswitch

* precise:
[ ] Package builds without modification
[ ] openvswitch-switch installs cleanly and runs
[ ] openvswitch-pki installs cleanly and runs
[ ] python-openvswitch installs cleanly and runs
[ ] openvswitch-common installs cleanly and runs
[ ] openvswitch-datapath-source installs cleanly and runs
[ ] openvswitch-brcompat installs cleanly and runs
[ ] ovsdbmonitor installs cleanly and runs
[ ] openvswitch-datapath-dkms installs cleanly and runs
[ ] openvswitch-ipsec installs cleanly and runs
[ ] openvswitch-dbg installs cleanly and runs
[ ] openvswitch-controller installs cleanly and runs
[ ] openvswitch-test installs cleanly and runs
* quantal:

Reverse dependencies:
=====================
The following reverse-dependencies need to be tested against the new version of openvswitch. For reverse-build-dependencies (-Indep), please test that the package still builds against the new openvswitch. For reverse-dependencies, please test that the version of the package currently in the release still works with the new openvswitch installed. Reverse- Recommends, Suggests, and Enhances don't need to be tested, and are listed for completeness-sake.
