We can backport 4.4.0-1 from maverick or 4.4.3-0ubuntu3 from precise (precise one either needs to wait 2.5 weeks or you need to backport for lucid-oneiric).  
The following reverse dependencies will need to be tested (install/run) against the backported package, is someone willing to commit to this?
