You filed this bug against the Ubuntu Backports project, which is not
responsible for bugs in the normal Ubuntu archive (see

However, the audiere package was removed from Ubuntu during the 11.04
(Natty Narwhal) development cycle. This was a reaction to Debian also
removing the package, due to it not being developed by upstream. You can
see this on the package's history page:

I'm not entirely sure why there is still a bzr branch available with the
package's history.
