Public bug reported:

Please backport broadcom-sta 5.100.82.112-8 (multiverse) from raring to
quantal.

Reason for the backport:
========================
The Broadcom STA driver has better signal strength and power usage than the open source brcmsmac driver. The current Broadcom STA driver for Quantal
provides a configure option to build with WEXT or cfg80211 API. In Quantal WEXT is enabled, in Raring cfg80211 is enabled. The WEXT API has a bug
that causes excessively long association times when resuming from suspend. This bug is fixed in the cfg80211 code. Pau Oliva's blog post [1] has a
more detailed explination of what is happening.

driver-sucks-and-how-to-fix-it/

Testing:
========
* quantal:
[X] Package builds without modification
[X] broadcom-sta-dkms installs cleanly and runs
[X] broadcom-sta-common installs cleanly and runs
[X] broadcom-sta-source installs cleanly and runs

No reverse dependencies

** Affects: quantal-backports
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
