Backporting dh_python2 stuff

        Hey

 I'm trying to backport linaro-image-tools from natty to lucid in a PPA,
 and dh_python2 was only added in the python-defaults uploaded just
 after lucid, so l-i-t build-deps on python (>= 2.6.5-1~).  I'm not too
 keen on backporting python-defaults or python, so I wonder whether you
 folks faced such a case and how you handled it?
