It appears to be working, please test


To help other testers:
After the install I did the following:

* edit /etc/radicale/config so Daemon Flag is True

*add a soft link to radicale from within /etc/init.d 
sudo ln -s /usr/bin/radicale radicale

*add radicale to the rc.d (so it starts at boot)
sudo update-rc.d radicale defaults

this configuration stores the calendar in
/root/.config/radicale/calendars/$USER/$CALENDAR
