@backporters: I packaged and tested 9.0 under maverick and confirm that
it works well. It passes all the postgresql-common tests.

For a lucid backport we need to backport postgresql-common as well; it's
fully backwards compatible to older postgresql versions. I haven't yet
run 9.0 on lucid and exercised the test suite.
