[Bug 301433] Re: Update texmaker to 1.8 and backport it to intrepid and hardy

I try to install texmaker from the link, but having trouble understanding the guide..
I have downloaded texmaker_linux_installer, then I type in terminal

sudo sh texmaker_linux_installer.sh

but get the error: sh: Can't open /texmaker_linux_installer.sh

What should I do? please help
