Public bug reported:

Cherokee web servers latest version 0.7.2 is packaged in Intrepid and I
would like to have it backported to Hardy, so that the latest version of
the Cherokee can be used in a stable LTS server.

Benefits of the Cherokee 0.7.2 include:

- Improved performance, especially with CGI, FCGI, SCGI.
- New rule based behaviour subsystem
- New MIME configuration system
- Updated cherokee-admin interface with new syntax.
- Many bug fixes

Cherokee is improving quickly and it would be very beneficial to have
the 0.7 branch stable versions available in Hardy also via backports, so
that it is easily installable and maintainable without needing to
upgrade to Intrepid or manually compiling.

** Affects: hardy-backports
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
