Almost sufficient, took a bit more patch-reverting from the bzr branch
to make everything work again, but got it uploaded to the PPA for
testing again:

+firefox-3.0 (3.0~b3+nobinonly-0ubuntu2~gutsy1~ppa2) gutsy; urgency=low
+
+  * Revert bzr revno 117.2.2 to preserve distinct profile directory
+  * Revert debian/firefox.sh.in to bzr revno 133
+  * Revert debian/firefox-3.0.install to bzr revno 133
+  * Revert debian/rule's DEBIAN_FF3_DIR definition so icons install.
