  The rTorrent and libTorrent versions in Hardy LTS are official, but
  unstable releases of the bittorrent client and library. The versions in
  Hardy are rTorrent 0.7.9 and libTorrent 0.11.9. The newest stable
  releases are rTorrent 0.8.2 and libTorrent 0.12.2. The most marked
  changes between the Hardy package and the new stable are DHT support and
  initial seeding support, as well as numerous bug fixes.
  
  I believe it is important to keep the Hardy LTS packages on a stable
