HPLIP is *CLOSED SOURCE* w.r.t. LaserJet's 1000/1005/1018/1020 and
M1005/M1006/M1505.

You should use the OPEN SOURCE "foo2zjs" driver found here:

http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/
