Please do.  This bug renders Eclipse useless in Edgy, and wastes a lot
of time for anybody to figure out what is wrong and fix.

I just unpacked the binary I found at

   http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/releases/callisto/dist/3.1.2/

in my /usr/lib directory.  It seems to work fine.
