Dapper Kernel Backports?

I'd be thrilled to offer this service to Dapper Backports users, but it must
be done so carefully as not to stumble across problems down the road.

First off, we need to make a list of all the possible scenarios that may
arise in the future (such as the mentioned restricted-modules conflicts or
udev problems), decide how to handle them (and perhaps contact the
"maintainers" of those packages to see if they are interested in cooperating
with this project).

As I said before, if at all possible I'd like to do this in a way where
Ubuntu developers would approve and also have the opportunity to help out,
instead of starting up a personal APT repository and ending up with a
support nightmare.
