Hi John,
Thanx for answering my query. Does that mean I need to again
file the request at launchpad.net or what? Although I've seen the site &
it's a good-looking site but very buggy. Although I had registered
before it didn't like the password, hence did the reset. I had to try to
register the new password atleast 3 times before it reigstered & then
gave a timeout error with a reference number. Also finding things as how
bugs are to be filed for launchpad itself is difficult.
AFAI understood Malone is the product to file bugs, there
launchpad doesn't have a corner. Also while searching for a package name
it doesn't throw up package names. Also the wiki
https://wiki.launchpad.canonical.com/ isn't helpful to people
who're new to the game. I like Gnome's bugzilla much better, much
cleaner & usable.
Went to https://launchpad.net/malone/distros/ubuntu & on the
extreme right hand side it just shows up release bugs
of Dapper,Breezy, Hoary & Warty in a logical way. Would like if we
have a corner saying Breezy backports or something to
that effect which is easy in case if requests have to done there.
Lots of things need to be cleaned
up. Seems it's pretty much in its infancy (launchpad) another 6-7 months
to come to a usable state I guess. In case if somebody has been doing
some bug triaging of launchpad itself would like
if can send me a mail off-list. Thanx in advance.
