[Bug 76188] kismet suid priv-dropping problem

Package: kismet (2006.04.R1-1.1).

I set up the configuration file with the suiduser name, but it always
says suid priv-dropping disabled and that is not secure when starting
up. Configuration is correct, the problem was also announced in kismet
forum:

That functionality was turned off in the build?

It is possible to backport  kismet with option: suid-drop with or
without suidroot ( for safety measure )?
