Public bug reported:
p7zip is the POSIX implementation of the popular 7zip compression
software. At the cost of CPU and RAM resources, 7z compresses far better
than any other algorithm.
The version in Feisty has all-around performance improvements in terms of speed and ratio, and in addition adds multithreading support, which greatly improves (+80%, according to the author) speed on multi-core systems.
Version 4.43~dfsg.1-1 has been tested on Dapper and Edgy with Prevu. +1 from me.
