<br>Dear Ubuntu Folk,<br><br>Problem SOLVED. I did a total re-install of my OS... wiping out the old OS. <br><br>I'm now using Mint Ubuntu (Elyssa)... and it is the only OS on this pc. It was quite straight-forward to install (over-writing the old system). <br>

</div>I had a look at your fdisk -l output (sorry, I didn't before) and I saw<br>
that /dev/sda1 is almost all of the disk, definitely a lot more than the<br>
43G that df is reporting. That's quite bizarre.<br>
