Good afternoon Ubuntu-AU'ers,

Sorry if it seems like I've been a bit quiet on this topic but I just
wanted to make sure that people had free reign to discuss it without
interruption. I am delighted at the overwhelmingly positive response
received so far. I would be honoured to take on the Team Contact role
for Ubuntu-AU and barring anything that hasn't already come to light I
think Melissa and I will work towards making this happen over the next
week or two. I would like to thank Melissa for all her efforts over
the last several years and wish her well in NZ and look forward to
seeing some more activity from the Ubuntu-NZ team perhaps?

I have also had a couple of people approach me and asking for things
to do within the team. So I've gone and created a ToDoList [1] that
when used in conjunction with the Projects [2] page now has a sizeable
list of things to do if you are looking to help out. They range from
updating the wiki to ensure the header is propagated out to the other
pages to organising a local Ubuntu Hour [3]. We need to try and get
stuff happening again on a regular basis so if you have any ideas or
better yet are organising anything yourself please let us all know on
the mailing list.
