Hi Ferdinand, Melissa, all,
I (as the Launchpad team "owner") do the bulk of the membership
approvals. My method is to approve if I can find any evidence that
the applicant is Australian or linked to Australia. This can be any
of:
- an Australian email address.
- an Australian timezone set on the applicants Launchpad homepage.
- a search on the name and/or email address that returns results
linking the applicant to Australia (eg. I have found people with posts
to Whirlpool).
Ferdinand, my apologies that this process did not work in your
particular case. It has, otherwise, worked fairly well so far.
By the way, I'm starting to feel that the team contact should be the
LP team owner. It will save some confusion. Let's include it on the
meeting agenda.
Regards, Dave.
