Pando on Linux

The link I found gives a version that appears to run. I have yet to test
it.
I installed all of the dependencies and then extracted the files from
the tar into a directory which finshed up as ./Downloads/pandodl
I used a terminal process to set $PANDO_HOME and then ran the command to
start pando. When I tried to close the terminal session it would not
let me because a process was running. I hope this is what would be
expected. It is many years since I had to delve into terminal sessions
on Linux and I have forgotten most of what I knew (At my age remembering
back 30 years gets difficult)
Any advice would be appreciated.
