Hi Richard.

I've got a new Telstra Turbo Wireless Next G Broadband USB modem that I use
for work and it 'just works' on my Ubuntu 10.04 installation. The details
on the back of the device read - Sierra Wireless USB, Qualcomm 3G, NI246.

Last year I was having a similar issue with the previous version of
Telstra's USB Next G Broadband Modem so I just bought one of their Home
Network Gateways which is just a Next G wireless router/modem so it's OS
independent.

Regards.
