I would love to have something like git but which handled binary files
properly. Say it just happened to use bsdiff .... + and was just in
the file browser.

Of course having it stored encrypted elsewhere is a requirement for
some data. As i am a firefox weave user and love being able to sync
passwords without fear (private  / public key crypto :) ). Being able
to do the same thing for files would be a great step forwards.
