failure of "linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic 2.6.24-19.41 to upgrade

I would like to express my appreciation and to let you know that your solution worked just fine.
Out of the four boxes you metioned, only the second box was ticked, so I took your advice and added a tick to the first (or top box)
