Two instances of the same printer?

Thanks very much for the guide, Andre. Unfortunately, in "Still in
Writer, go to your printer settings (File, Printer Settings), select the
printer and open "Properties" to specify "Paper Size" to "Envelope
DL" ..." DL is not listed! My only choices in the File>Printer Settings
are:
Letter
Legal
Executive
A5
B5
A4.
In "Writer go to "Format" and then "Page". Under "Paper format",
"Format", select "DL", DL _is_ an available choice. Selecting Landscape
is not a problem but the printer / driver / CUPS(?) ignores the choice
and does not rotate the text.
I know the printer accepts DL envelopes from Writer in Windows, even a
choice of how the printer wants the envelope to feed. But not in Ubuntu
or perhaps it is the driver? Or CUPS?
