Hi Rob,

Unfortunately this does not work either. Must be because the driver is
not from Ubuntu's list of printers but from me installing the driver
manually, as I mentioned before.

I hate to say it, but in MS with writer it operates as it should. I only
mention this in that it is not a 'quirky' printer. It wants envelopes
fed in longways, from the centre face up as the guides move
synchronously.
