Printing from Hardy to Printer on Windows XP

Sounds like a credentials error.

What's the printer device URI you're connecting to?  It generally needs
to be in the format:

smb://DOMAIN/USER:PASSWORD@hostname/printer

(Where "DOMAIN" is only really necessary in a true Windows/Samba domain).

The user/pass combo needs to be the same on Windows, Linux/Samba and
Linux/Passwd/Shadow.

Alternatively, setting Windows to use "simple file sharing" and allowing
full access to the printer will negate the need for the user/pass to be
sent along.
