The Sydney Linux Users Group (SLUG) is very active. We have meetings on the
last Friday of every month. Our next meeting is on Feb 29:

We have a segment known as 'SLUGlets', which is a forum for newbies and
average users to ask questions and share experiences. After the meeting, we
go out to dinner, which is a great way to learn and socialise in a relaxed
atmosphere :)
