ext2fs_update_bb_inode ERROR when creating ext3 fs

hi all,
I want to create a ext3 filesystem on my with truecrypt encrypten partition.
the partition is on a seagate FreeAgent Go 2.5' external USB hdd. the hdd is connecte to a powered USB hub.

I get two errors/warnings and I have no clue what's going on...

$ sudo mke2fs -j -m0 -L FreeAgent /dev/mapper/truecrypt0
